LEADERSHIP

Lead Pastor

Jared Huntley

Jared and his wife Jen have been married since 2014. Before meeting Jen, Jared served in the U.S. Army for six years. Jared, a native Texan who grew up in Houston, entered into full-time ministry in 2013. Since then, he has planted three churches: one in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada (2015), one in Washington, D.C. (2019), and now one in San Antonio, TX (2022). Jared and his family moved to San Antonio in the summer of 2022 with two other families after being commissioned and sent out by his sending church. Jared holds a B.A. in Bible from Howard Payne University in Brownwood, TX and an M.A. in North American Church Planting from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC. He and Jen adopted three wonderful children in 2021: Joshua, Joanna, and Caleb; and had their other daughter Abigail in 2023.

Pastor of Discipleship & Outreach

Andrew McDaniel

Andrew was born and raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee. While pursuing his undergraduate degree at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, the Lord saved Andrew out of a life of cultural Christianity. Soon after, Andrew responded to God’s call to preach and teach the Gospel with a specific burden for those living a nominal faith. While finishing his B.A. in Religion and Philosophy at UTC, Andrew met his wife, Laura. Andrew spent two years after college interning at his local church with college students. Once he and Laura were married in the Spring of 2020, they moved to Washington, D.C. where Andrew served as a church planting resident for two years. In July of 2022, Andrew was ordained into the ministry when Pillar Church of Washington DC commissioned him to help plant Pillar Church of San Antonio. He is currently pursuing an MDiv at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Elder

Keith Manry

Keith lives in San Antonio with his wife, Erica. They have two adult children, Peigh (and husband Isaac) who live in northern Virginia and Josiah who lives in New Orleans. They have two teenagers, Ben and Claire, and are foster parents to an infant son, Asher. Keith was raised in a strong Christian home and gave his heart to Jesus Christ as a young child but surrendered his life at 12 years old and responded to what he had known since he was a child was a call on his life to preach. Following college, Keith pastored churches for 13 years, the last the three years of which he also served as a Chaplain in the Air National Guard. In 2011, Keith and Erica responded to a call for him to join the Active Duty Air Force as a Chaplain. Since then they have lived in Montana, Guam, northern Virginia, and now Texas. He was also deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. They joined Pillar Dumfries in 2019 and since then God has given them a passion for church planting. Keith received his BA in religion from Houghton College, his MDiv from United Theological Seminary and his DMin from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He is currently stationed at Lackland Air Force Base where he serves as the Senior Chaplain for the Air Force’s Basic Military Training. In his free time, Keith enjoys playing with his Jeep, roasting coffee, collecting vinyl records, and woodworking.

Elder

John Turner

John came to faith in Christ in 2001 and God called him to ministry in 2005, but it wasn't until he retired from the Air Force in 2013 that he was able to enter ministry full-time. He and Angie met while serving together in the Air Force and have been married for almost 27 years. They have three children: Georgia, Diego, and Caleb. While serving as an Associate Pastor of a Baptist Church in San Antonio, God began calling John and Angie into church planting. They came to Pillar SA in January of 2023, enabling them to participate in the church planting residency, and God has continued to confirm their calling to church plant. John holds a B.S. degree in Business from Wayland Baptist University and an MDiv from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY.
